We specialize in natural pet care and holistic grooming practices for a more stress free environment for your pet. We pride ourselves in putting your pet's physical and mental health above aesthetics. Our moto is "Humanity Before Vanity".
We want to make sure that each furry friend brought to us in trust and good faith, leaves our grooming salon without anxiety. We make it a point to take our time with those that are scared, aging, or have health concerns.
We are always prepared for any pets' needs and ensure that your pet will receive the best care and love. With this in mind, puppies/kittens, pets with health concerns, and elderly pets are always given special considerations when scheduling. We do not allow prolonged stays as it causes stress and anxiety for the pet. Their happiness and care is our priority and we strive to provide a service we would want our own pets to receive.
I have a very senior yorkie and CoCo has taken great care of her since I started going to her for grooming. The shop I used to go to could no longer groom Claire because she required a lot more attention since she is an older dog. CoCo takes her time and assists Claire throughout the groom. She talks to Claire in a soothing voice, using positive reinforcement phrases like “Good Claire, that’s a good girl.” Claire is able to be groomed without being rushed through the process. CoCo allows Claire to take breaks when she needs to so Claire’s old joints can rest. My dog does not have to remain at the grooming shop all day which I really like.
Coco was really good with my little puppy. She has been working with her on getting comfortable with grooming and I was really happy she was willing to go in baby steps to make grooming less stressful for my dog. A lot of places will just man handle a young dog to get it through the groom, but Coco is willing to take the time to train the dog and get it used to the whole grooming process. Will it take longer for my dog to get the hair style I want it to have? Yes. But will my dog be trained to stand on the grooming table and learn that grooming isn’t something to be afraid of? Yes!
CoCo groomed my havanese mix in record time! He isn’t the easiest dog to groom and normally he comes home a wreck from the groomer. I heard about her from a co-worker since my little baby is getting older. I didn’t think all of the stress he was being subjected to was good for him since he is now a senior dog. She took her time and when he came home, he wasn’t distraught. He didn’t have the poopies. He wasn’t whinning and clingy at all. He was his normal self. It was like he hadn’t even left home! Amazing customer service. She really puts your dog’s needs before anything else and for us, that’s important.
I’m a guy. I don’t really care what my dog looks like. But then I got married lol. My wife cared. Came to Coco and now my dog looks good (according to my wife. I didn’t think it looked bad before) but it definitely smells better. The wife is happy which means so am I. Thanks Coco for keeping me out of the dog house.
I have a brand new puppy that my parents got me as a going away preset. Coco was willing to take the time to work in stages to get my puppy comfortable with grooming and properly trained so she would be safe during grooming. I was willing to come in every week to get snow white used to coco and the grooming environment. It didn’t take long. Snow loves coming for her appointments. I would recommend coco to anyone with a new puppy. But prepared to put some time in as well. You still have to do stuff at home too to help reinforce the training. Coco explains everything in a lot of detail.
I have a special needs senior dog that I brought to be groomed. She had never been groomed before because her coat wasn’t that kind of type. She had baths and brush outs and that was it. But since she is aging and in poor health, my husband and I decided to would be best for her to start getting shaved down to make her more comfortable and easier to maintain in her older years. CoCo took her time and was willing to gradual get our baby girl accustomed to grooming. We really appreciated this gradual approach. Our baby girl is now more comfortable and happy, and so are we.
